Excessing
/ Employee Status Change Form 2009:
If faced with being
partially excessed, be careful to read the form before signing:
·
Box #4 if you want to be fully
excessed (i.e. transfer out) of your current site. You are still employed and owed your full
contract (unless you receive a layoff letter).
·
Box #5 if you want to be partially
excessed this leaves open the possibility to stay at your building next
year (depends upon finding matching pieces to add to the retained
FTE). You are still employed and
owed your full contract (unless you receive a layoff letter). If not sure amongst #4, #5 or #6, this
choice offers you the most flexibility.
·
Box #6 if you want to voluntarily demote (that
means less pay & less FTE), but wish to stay at the
site. You would no longer be owed
the contrat FTE you had this year.
You should also contact TRA (651-296-2409) before you demote and ask
whether reducing your contract will affect your pension.

Keys To Interviewing Trainings have concluded for
2009:
§ Two 2 hour training
sessions are open to all staff
§ I&S process and
tips for resumes and successful interviewing are topics covered
§ All staff expecting to
interview are strongly encouraged to attend
§ Individuals interested
attending the Keys to Interviewing training are asked to sign up online
through eCompass. Call Muhidin at
668-5367 if you need assistance.

Excessed Placement For Teachers Concluded at Anwatin June 15th:
If
you are excessed, please note the following information:
·
Excessed teachers will be
notified about excessed placement by letter.
·
Matching session (short
professional conversations) is in the morning starting at 9am.
·
Seniority based selection begins
at 1pm.
·
Teachers are entitled to
assignments in the license area in which they are excessed.
·
Teachers will be able to select
as long as their license is valid for the 2010 school year.
·
MFT Business Agents will be
present.

Excessed
Placement Committee concluded June 19th to place Teachers:
·
If you have not secured all of
your FTE by June 15th, then the Committee will be placing you.
·
Teachers are entitled to
assignments in the license area in which they are excessed.
·
Teachers will be able to select
as long as their license is valid for the 2010 school year.
·
If there are options, the
Committee will need to know how to call you on JUNE 19th
·
If there are no choices
for your placement, you’ll be placed and notified by your new site.
·
If the committee is unable to
reach you that day, then you’ll be placed and notified by your new site.
·

Excessed
Placement For ESPs is on June 12th:
If
you are excessed, please note the following information:
·
ESP Excessed Placement
(excluding Associate Educators, Special Education Assistants, or School
Success Program Assistants): Friday, June 12
·
Excessed ESP members do
not attend the Placement Session.
·
They should, however,
provide a phone number where they can be contacted that day and give
preference information to their business agent or president.
