Still need FTE after Matching?
On Mon. June 28th, the Excessed Placement Committee
will convene to finalize placements for those who have not secured all
of their FTE (not an in-person process). If you still need FTE
after Matching, then your assignments will be finalized by the Excessed
Placement Committee. Make sure to talk to MFT before leaving WHS
and fill out an Excessed Placement Information Form. These will be
provided at Matching starting on 6/21. If you wish to retain any
particular assignment(s) you have secured by the end of Matching, write
your intentions specifically on the Form (provide additional
documentation if there might be a
Voluntary Demotion involved)
.

according to HR records - HR's records are not automatically updated if
you haven't provided them your updated license (a copy of your license
must be on file with HR; it is best to provide Cassandra Bologna in HR
with a green copy; do not rely upon faxing or dept mail without
following up to confirm).

What if you are still excessed after the second round?
Excessed staff still needing assignment(s) to fulfill their FTE, should
plan to attend In-Person Matching sessions to be scheduled between June
18 and June 24th. Location and exact dates are still to be
determined.
Budget
Tie-out/excessing process:
If faced with being partially excessed, be
careful to read the form before signing:
Box #4 if you want to be fully excessed
(i.e. transfer out) of your current site. You
are still employed and owed your full contract (unless you receive a
layoff letter).
Box #5 if you want to be partially excessed
this leaves open the possibility to stay at your building next year
(depends upon finding matching pieces to add to the retained FTE). You are still employed and owed your full
contract (unless you receive a layoff letter). If
not sure amongst #4, #5 or #6, this choice offers you the most
flexibility.
Box #6 If you want to
voluntarily demote (that means less pay &
less FTE), but wish to stay at the site. You
would no longer be owed the contrat FTE you had this year.
You should also contact TRA (651-296-2409) before
you demote and ask whether reducing your contract will affect your
pension.
