GetActive Email System

STAY IN TOUCH WITH MFT WITH GETACTIVE:  MFT has used the GetActive Email system since 2003 and now email to between 4000-5000 subscribers.  It allows MFT to quickly let members know of information in a timely manner, remind you of upcoming deadlines, provide legal information (election results), etc.

·                     MFT’s emails are targeted to different groups depending upon content

·                     To get emails specifically targeted to K12 teachers enter “Teacher" in the chapter field

·                     To get emails specifically targeted to ESPs enter “ESP" in the chapter field

·                     To get emails specifically targeted to ABE teachers enter “Adult Literacy Prgm” in the Worksite Name Field

·                     You will be sent a CONFIRMATION EMAIL - your account will be activated when you click on the activation link in that email - it will also have your password.

 

WHAT IF I’M NOT GETTING GETACTIVE EMAILS?

  • Check whether you have entered the key words into the chapter field (see above)
  • Your email system or email service provider may be having technical problems to deliver email and may be bouncing back emails to GetActive. 
  • You may have set your email system’s preferences to filter out GetActive emails. 

 

THINGS TO TRY

  • Check your email listing in the MPS Staff Directory and update your GetActive account with the new address.
  • Send yourself an email to test your own system.  Refresh your Inbox and the email you just sent should be there (should take less than 30 seconds). 
  • Access your account at Getactive Member Homepage and check that your email account is entered properly.
  • If you are encountering problems with your email account, not GetActive, get in touch with the IT dept or your email provider if you are not using the MPS webmail for GetActive purposes.
