The mission of Minneapolis Federation of Educators is to promote, strengthen and improve public schools. This is done through shared decision making of those who are closest to the students.  We exist to protect and promote the well-being of our members. We build with our families, students, community, district, and other labor unions a movement that fights for the resources needed to advance these principles. We accomplish this mission through sustainable organizing, collective action, collective bargaining, high quality professional practice and political activism.

This is a part-time position for approximately 15 hours per week at $40 per hour. This temporary position is expected to last three to six months.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in operations work.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through to get projects to completion.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with members, staff and union leadership.

  • Experience with accounting software and database management.

  • Mastery of Microsoft Office and Google suite.
