Meet the MFT59 Executive Board!

The MFT59 Executive Board, composed of the officers and “at-large” executive board members from the Teacher and ESP chapters, meets monthly to engage doing the financial and governance work of the union. These meetings, which are open to all members of the MFT59 to observe, are typically held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Board members discuss policy, finances, committee work, community partnerships, and other issues involving the MFT in Minneapolis and beyond. // Meet your MFT59 board members by clicking here. Board elections for two-year terms will be held again in the Spring of 2020, so consider attending a board meeting if you’re thinking of running for a seat to get a feel for the work that is done

The mission of Minneapolis Federation of Educators Education Support Professionals, Related-Service Professionals and Retirees is to promote, strengthen and improve public schools. This is done through shared decision making of those who are closest to the students.  We exist to protect and promote the well-being of our members. We build with our families, students, community, district, and other labor unions a movement that fights for the resources needed to advance these principles. We accomplish this mission through sustainable organizing, collective action, collective bargaining, high quality professional practice and political activism.
